maybe too much (swirly stuff) on that front tree trunk? and the orange and gray shapes on the trunks at the left are weird…

  1. Just an observation…the reddish-orange mark on the tree on the left is about equidistant and similar in color to the figure on the right. To my eye, this does make the composition a bit more static resulting in more visual weight being placed on the central tree in the foreground. I like the figure walking through the snow and showing another way we interact with the landscape.

    • Thanks a lot for that observation Al, I agree totally. That’s probably why that mark bothers me. It needs to be less prominent.
      The guy walking is my brother, it’s part of his logging job. It’s going to be another part of the logging series. (if it works out).
