Hi Rosie, thanks for the cool recipe and thanks for the comment. I’ll see if I can get some walnuts from farther south…
I have a friend who lives near some walnut trees? They’re not uncommon in public planting here. Because the nut is hidden inside the fruit a lot of people don’t realise what they are.
I’ve seen them in southern BC but there’s nothing like that here, we just have poplars and birch.
Might be available through specialist farmers or food suppliers, it’s great to make your own
I’ll ask my sister to look for some for me. It is fun to make your own art supplies.
